Welcome to a New NBA Season!

With the dramatic ending to last season's NBA Finals, this season looks to be exciting even more. The Cavs just won the title over the favored Warriors and many are predicting them to meet in the finals again. With the Cavs winning on opening night over the Knicks and the Warriors falling to the Spurs, the season has officially begun. The Warriors feature a loaded starting lineup with Steph Curry, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant to lead the charge against the rest of the league in search of another title after winning one in 2015. There is a lot more talent out there as well. If you look at the Lakers, they defeated the Rockets on their opening night and featured loads of talent in the victory. If you look in the east, the Raptors and Celtics seem to be the favorites in challenging the Cavaliers while in the west, the only team I see dismantling the Warriors are the Spurs. One way or another, come June, we will see who is actually going to come out on top.

There hasn't been too much news in the Padres world, but the Arizona Fall League is still in full swing, no pun intended. Prospects from the Padres include: Michael Gettys, Josh VanMeter, Franchy Cordero, Phil Maton, Kyle McGrath, Brad Wieck and Jason Jester. All of these players are enjoying their time there, with many of the pitchers dominating in their limited roles. These future Padres will be great assets for us in the future, because we really need pitching to back up the great offense that we have.

There seems to be a great weekend in college football every weekend. The matchups keep coming! As Alabama and LSU prepare for their matchup on November 5 with a bye week this week, there are still many games to look forward to this weekend. here are your matchups.
