Padres Baseball

I apologize for not posting anything for the past few months. I have been busy and have not had the time (or desire, frankly) to sit down and type out a post. That said, I will attempt to post something every now and again simply because I have this blog posted on my resume. This blog will mainly focus on the Padres from now on. It's not like I dislike other sports, I just have a great depth of passion and knowledge about my city and pride in the San Diego Padres.

Image result for mariners beat padres spring trainingPitchers and catchers reported to spring training on Feb. 14 with all other position players reporting soon thereafter. The Padres had their first spring training game on Saturday as they fell to the Mariners 13-3. This was an embarrassing loss. I could not believe the lack of talent and fire that this team showed. I know this season is going to be hard for many Padres fans (unless they turn it around and start clicking on all cylinders come opening day), but we all thought they would at least show some more competition in them. Sunday they lost 13-2 to the Mariners and today they lost 5-3 to the Angels. I know it is only spring training, but how long can we say that? Pitchers have to pitch and hitters have to hit. I know it's easier said than done, but we have to win a game eventually. Maybe we can take down Bumgarner and the Giants tomorrow. How about that? I love my Padres. Even though I expect them to be bad this year, it still pains me to no end as if they lost a game in the world series. But what the heck, let us cheer loud for our Padres because there is nothing more satisfying than a Padres victory.
